Funky meets classic - Sophie Conran and Drummonds
The process of working with Sophie Conran was exciting for us: from clean minimal bathrooms to bright and exciting bathrooms, we worked with Sophie to find colours and styles that would help excite the customer and also show how our classic products can work well in different themes.

Mirrored deco roomDrummonds' Chelsea showroom has been completely redesigned: The project is a collaboration between Drummonds' in-house team and lifestyle guru Sophie Conran, fusing the company’s own chic classicism with her funky upbeat style.

Together they have devised two floors of inspirational bathroom designs, with classic bathrooms taking centre stage in Sophie Conran's bright and airy new roomsets.

18th century roomLentaigne explains: “With the traditional 18th Century bathroom greeting you as you walk into the shop, we used our Parquet de Versailles on the floor and some fantastic lights to help create this amazing and luxurious bathroom to greet you as you enter the shop.”

Caribbean bathroomMoving downstairs is more bathroom inspiration: a roomset featuring a Caribbean white bathroom with a marble surrounded Ness bath and shutters from Plantation Shutters; and a Mirrored Deco room (see above) with limestone flooring and built-in bath with luxurious lion's head taps.

Girly heavenA room called 'girly heaven' by Sophie has some amazing bright colours to set off against a Magma basin and 20th Century oak flooring. Drummonds' acquired image rights from the Victoria and Albert Museum to reproduce the exciting wallpaper with Surface View.

William Morris roomThe William Morris styled room has 19th Century oak flooring with a walk-in shower and a Spey freestanding bath (set up with running water to test if you feel the need!).

There is also a room with several wall mounted showers and Limestone cabouchon flooring running up the wall to fabulous effect.
Another section of the showroom is devoted to reclaimed stone and timber flooring and brassware. Lentaigne says: “building our own cabinet to display and hold stock of our kit means the set up is fantastic”.
