Every piece of marble is slightly different and I hand pick each section to ensure we use the most beautiful vein patterns. I don’t like wishy-washy marble, it can look quite cheap!
Drummond Shaw, company founderDrummonds has launched a new range of sumptuous marble top vanity surrounds to complement its existing bathroom portfolio. The basins will bring a touch of class to any bathroom and come in single or double basin arrangements.
Double marble vanity unit in white ArabescatoThe sheer beauty of the marble and high quality craftsmanship guarantees the vanity basin and surround will stand out from the crowd. Drummonds offer two types of marble: Belgium Rouge and white Arabescato.
Drummond Shaw said, "We have a large quantity of reclaimed marble, taken from an 18th century building in Belgium, which we send to a specialist marble cutter in West Sussex. Their skilled craftspeople carve soap dishes and beautiful decorative mouldings (ogees) into the edges of the marble. Using hand-operated tools, with diamond discs, they achieve a perfect finish"
Drummonds’ marble vanity units retail at £3,450 for a single basin and brass stand and £5,450 for a double sink (this includes taps and fixtures and fittings).
