WESTMINSTER ABBEY CHAIRS

Chairs made using traditional materials - elm seats and beech frames - in 1923 for use as congregational seating in Westminster Abbey. Replaced by new seating in 1998 these chairs were in constant use for more than 75 years, and as such bear marks of age, and most still have prayer book shelf on the back.
