RE-ENAMELLING CAST IRON BATHS

Re-enamelling cast iron baths

Bath re-enamelling

Drummonds is the only company in the world that can re-enamel your bath using the traditional Victorian vitreous dry frit (powdered glass) process.

The process is technically extremely challenging, using sophisticated equipment and relying on the skill of our uniquely trained workforce - you can see a video of the process. But the resultant enamel is incredibly hard, durable and approximately three times thicker than the wet coated enamel more commonly used today.

We are so confident that the enamel on your bath will last you a lifetime that it is supplied with a 25 year guarantee.

Conditions

A 50% deposit is required when the bath is delivered to Hindhead and the balance is payable before collection/delivery.

Whilst every care is taken during the process of re-enamelling baths, it is possible that cracks or old wealds may become evident during the removal of the old enamel that prevent the process from being carried out successfully. Every effort will be made to repair cracks and casting holes, but if unsuccessful the bath will be returned unenamelled and no other charge will be levied although the deposit will be forfeited.

No general bath repair

Unfortunately, we are unable to take on general cast iron bath repair and restoration apart from re-enamelling.
